Let me introduce myself – I’m Jennifer Moore – sewing & quilting enthusiast since 2013. By night, I work as a TV journalist.
Writer of the popular article Quiltonomics: The Real Cost of Quilts.
Ever since I discovered sewing soon after moving from the Tampa Bay area in Florida to Atlanta, I’ve been absolutely hooked. My love of all things involving a needle and thread has driven me to brainstorm ideas of how I could contribute to the community and help to encourage others to learn how to sew.
Late in 2014, my husband James and I started the website MooreApproved.com. It was intended to document home and DIY projects, but somehow morphed into a sewing blog along the way.
While it’s been very enjoyable, I felt many of the topics and ideas I’ve had are bigger than just a personal blog.
For quite some time, I feel like I haven’t been able to find my “place” in this community. Many sewists and quilters who have a blog/website are either pattern designers, sell handmade goods, teach, do free tutorials, write books, design fabric, longarm quilt, etc…
None of those things are a great fit for me.
But I can help you discover your love of sewing through videos, articles, and sharing tips.
