One yard of fabric is enough to make one pillowcase for a standard size of 20 x 26 inches. Mine was larger, so I needed just over one yard per pillowcase.
If you are using solids or non-direction prints, cut the fabric on the fold. For directional prints, cut two separate pieces, which will add one more line to stitch.
Make sure to pre-wash your fabric!
