Super Simple Pot Holders | Free Pattern + Tutorial

Pot holders are a simple and approachable sewing / quilting project for beginners.

You can make several in one day and use up smaller cuts of fabric from your stash.

This is a step-by-step tutorial with plenty of practical tips for sewing, quilting, and working with bias tape. Fat Quarter friendly!

Quilting Cotton Fat Quarters (18 x 22 inches) – you’ll need 2 pieces for each pot holder
Batting – either cotton, bamboo, wool (18 x 22 inch piece)
