There’s one sewing machine presser foot I keep on and use the majority of the time, and it’s the walking foot.
What does it do?
Per Brother: A walking foot has a built-in fabric feeding system that moves and holds fabric between your sewing machine’s upper and lower feed dogs to better control layers of fabric and help prevent fabric shifting.
I’ve been getting asked on sewing project videos what foot to use, and for the most part – I prefer the walking foot.

LEARN TO SEW IN 2020
I’m doing a video series on learning how to sew. This will be aimed at real beginners, someone interested in sewing but having no experience.
We’ll be using an entry level Brother CS7000i sewing machine going over the different parts / functions. If you’ve never used a sewing machine before, I want this to be a resource and guide.
