It’s official – parent corporation Amazon has shuttered fabric.com! The end of an era for the sewing community.
The end of an era for the sewing community. Instead of the typical fabric offerings on the site, this message appears:
“As of October 20, 2022, we will no longer sell products on fabric.com. Thank you so much for supporting our business over the years. We appreciate the role we played in bringing your creations to life, and wish you the best as you continue to make this world a more beautiful place with your handmade designs! Amazon.com continues to offer more than a million fabrics and sewing supplies, and we encourage you to explore the Amazon fabric shop to meet your creative needs.”

Right now, it appears the remaining inventory from fabric.com has reverted to the Amazon storefront. The company Instagram & Facebook accounts are no longer found either.
I’ll be going LIVE tonight at 8PM ET to break down what’s happening and we can chat about what this means for the future of sewing.
Here in the comments, let me know if you have any good online alternatives to fabric.com.
